Learning Objectives:

  1. Attendees will learn how to use a dichotomous key for identifying grasses.
  2. Attendees will understand why turfgrass and weedy grass identification is important for best management practices and turf diagnostics.
  3. Attendees will use living samples to see botanical features of grass plants.

Presentation Description:

This hands-on workshop will cover the basics of turf and weedy grass identification using real samples. Content will include the steps to identification, why identification is important, and using a plant identification key.
